IDEA AND INSPIRATION

This thoughtfully designed home is located near Pärnu, in the village of Mereküla, just a short distance from the coast. Nestled on a gently contoured, tree-filled plot accessible only via a quiet cul-de-sac from the north side, the setting offers exceptional privacy and character. 

The house is situated along the northern edge of the property, close to the street, making it possible to preserve much of the existing forest and to enjoy beautiful views across the rest of the plot from the living areas. In front of the home, you’ll find a simple, clean lawn and a dedicated parking area. 

The single-storey residence is divided into three distinct volumes, each with its own purpose: bedrooms, main living spaces, and utility or office rooms. Three sloping roofs in different directions give the house an eye-catching and unique architectural character from every angle. On both sides of the home, spacious terraces connect the three sections, offering perfect spots for grilling, relaxing, or enjoying the outdoors. Low planters add privacy and a touch of greenery right next to the living spaces. 

The overall material palette is minimalist and natural, featuring stone, wood, and glass. Light-colored stone walls define the different sections of the house, while generous glass surfaces and warm wooden cladding add an inviting, contemporary feel.
