A single-storey, cleverly spacious residential building with a unique design.
The house has a large car carport, which allows you to comfortably open the car doors. There’s also plenty of room to move stuff around and it keeps the vehicle and its owner clean and dry in the rainy and snowy season.

It’s designed perfectly according to the movement of the sun throughout the year. From morning to evening, the spacious roof terrace is open to the sun and can be accessed from any room. It makes moving around the house especially easy.

IDEE JA INSPIRATSIOON

The building, which was completed in 2018, is located on Mäeotsa road in Pärnu county, Laadi village, Tahkuranna parish. The building has a good energy class and an aesthetic architecture that fits to it’s given environment the pine forest perfectly.

The building has been constructed by using materials close to nature, for example retaining and interior walls were made of straw slabs. The popularity of renewable energy has also been taken into account, so solar panels were used to heat the building’s domestic water. The heating energy of the building comes from a ground source heat pump. Due to the environment, the building's tonality is wooden. Wood from the location has been used in the construction of the facade, the tiles were also made from it. Posts used in the building’s load-bearing structures and support corners are made of local pine wood. The main tone of the building is dark gray, some light natural scaffold is added to it as well.

The building will be located on a small slope with a great view of the grassland and the river. It blends into the landscape and only the surrounding plants were used in the landscaping to preserve the natural environment and to keep it as similar as possible, as before the design of the building. The design has also taken into account that the size of the ecological footprint should be as small as possible, ensuring the preservation of local nature and the compatibility of the building with the surrounding environment.
